Musk accuses Biden of Treason over Border Policies “`

Elon Musk’s criticism of President Biden’s border policies stems from allegations of misconduct.

Elon Musk has leveled a serious accusation against President Joe Biden, alleging that the president’s handling of immigration constitutes “treason.” Musk’s statement is in response to reports that the administration is allowing a surge of illegal immigration and disposing of materials intended for the US-Mexico border wall.

President Biden’s border policies have drawn consistent criticism from Republicans, led by former President Trump, who has long argued the administration is failing to secure the nation’s borders. Recent reports, such as one from the Daily Wire on X, claiming the Biden administration is auctioning off border wall materials, have reignited this debate. These reports triggered a wave of online condemnation, with many users accusing the administration of legal violations and undermining border security. One X user, @EndWokeness, highlighted alleged failures, citing the sale of border wall materials for reportedly $5 each, the removal of fencing and barriers, and the issuance of numerous executive orders perceived as opening the border. This user concluded that these actions amounted to treason, a sentiment echoed by Musk.

“This administration did not fail to secure the border. They deliberately opened it. IT WAS TREASON,” the user stated, prompting Musk’s agreement: “100% treason”.

Biden’s immigration policies initially involved reversing Trump-era regulations, including halting border wall construction. However, in the face of increased illegal immigration and criticism, the administration has implemented stricter measures. One example is last June’s order temporarily suspending asylum requests at the Mexican border when daily unauthorized crossings surpass 2,500.

The legal dispute surrounding the leftover border wall materials has spanned years. The Biden administration contended that the stored steel and other supplies were surplus to requirements and that their storage incurred unnecessary government costs. In 2023, Congress supported this position, directing the Department of Defense to “use, transfer, or donate” the excess materials. Following challenges to the legality of this action, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton initiated a lawsuit to halt further sales. On December 27, a temporary injunction was granted, preventing the disposal of materials for 30 days, enabling incoming President Trump to decide their future use.

Trump celebrated this court ruling, describing it as a significant victory for America’s national security on his Truth Social platform. He criticized the Biden administration for damaging the wall project and reaffirmed his commitment to enhanced border security, including completing the wall.
