According to investigators, Nikita Casap allegedly murdered his parents to finance a scheme to assassinate the US president and implicate Russia.
According to a newly unsealed FBI affidavit, a 17-year-old from Wisconsin, Nikita Casap, who is accused of killing his parents, also allegedly planned to assassinate President Donald Trump and then flee the country, while making it look like Russia was responsible.
Casap was charged last month with first-degree murder after the bodies of his mother and stepfather were discovered in their Waukesha home, both having been shot in the head. After allegedly fleeing in a stolen vehicle with $14,000 in cash, passports, and the family dog, he was apprehended in Kansas. During the traffic stop, officers also found an unloaded revolver, ammunition boxes, and two cell phones.
The warrant stated on Friday that *“Casap appears to have authored a manifesto advocating for the assassination of the President of the United States. He was reportedly in contact with others regarding his plan to kill the President and overthrow the U.S. government.”*
It further stated that *“The killing of his parents appeared to be motivated by a desire to acquire the financial resources and independence needed to execute his plan.”*
Agents also discovered screenshots of a three-page document titled *“Accelerate the Collapse,”* created on February 28. The manifesto promoted political violence, including the president’s assassination, to incite social chaos and *“protect the white race.”* It asserted that it was *“necessary to accelerate the collapse”* of what it termed *“Jewish-occupied governments,”* starting with the United States. Casap allegedly claimed, *“The white race cannot survive unless America collapses.”*
Another excerpt reportedly read, *“As to why, specifically Trump, I think it’s obvious. By getting rid of the president and perhaps the vice president, that is guaranteed to bring in some chaos — and not only that, but it will further bring into the public the idea that assassinations and accelerating the collapse are possible things to do.”*
Casap is being held on $1 million bail and is facing two counts of first-degree intentional homicide, along with seven other felony charges, including hiding a corpse and identity theft. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 7.
