Travel Counsellors for Business, a leading UK travel management company, hosted its annual conference last weekend, focusing on providing practical insights for corporate travel experts. The conference, held at the Leonardo Tower Bridge in London, saw the largest attendance in the company’s corporate travel history, with over 100 corporate travel specialists, 30 support team members, and representatives from headline sponsors Emirates, Travelport, and Bedsonline, alongside other valued supplier partners.

The day’s agenda centered around empowering corporate Travel Counsellors to foster new business growth, enhance client retention, and leverage technology to streamline booking and travel experiences while maintaining the human touch in corporate travel. Participants explored themes like sustainability in corporate travel and gained insights into the company’s significant technology investments and future plans for its personal, digital platform, Phenix. Discussions also covered the recent launches of two new platforms, myTC Online and myTC Insights, designed to improve the client booking and reporting experience. The conference further highlighted the company’s efforts to enhance its support function to serve corporate Travel Counsellors.

Two keynote speakers graced the event: media entrepreneur, podcaster, writer, and performer Cally Beaton, followed by Olympic ski jumper Eddie the Eagle. Eddie the Eagle, while sharing his personal journey to success, underscored the theme of having the determination and self-belief to take a leap of faith, both in business and life.

Mel Quinn, Director of Corporate Travel at Travel Counsellors for Business, shared, “Our Business Travel Conference provided the perfect platform to celebrate our accomplishments over the past year, both individually and as a community, and to outline our strategy for the coming year. Travel Counsellors for Business will continue to empower corporate travel entrepreneurs to leverage our technology platform and deliver the finest booking and travel experiences for their clients. With corporate TCs working individually or in teams, we remain committed to empowering our people to grow their corporate travel businesses, while consistently seeking opportunities to demonstrate care and champion the human touch in business travel.”

The conference comes on the heels of record sales for Travel Counsellors for Business. UK corporate sales reached £20.6 million in May, representing a 14% increase from the previous year. In the same month, 2,292 corporate clients made bookings.

A dedicated TC Travel Market, ‘TCTM’, featured more supplier sponsors than ever before at the company’s corporate conference. This market offered direct access to airlines, accommodation providers, and ancillaries to support Travel Counsellors and their client roster, who now make nearly 350,000 transactions with Travel Counsellors for Business annually.
