The second China Marine Equipment Expo (CMEE) opened on November 15th at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center in Fuzhou, Fujian Province.
This year’s CMEE, themed “Green Intelligence, New Quality Future,” occupied 100,000 square meters. The indoor exhibition (80,000 square meters across Halls 1-8) featured 15 sections. A 20,000-square-meter yacht exhibition was held at the Guancheng Datong Marina. Norway served as the honorary guest country. Nearly 800 marine industry players—including established companies like China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), China Three Gorges Corporation, and newcomers such as Shell and Wärtsilä—participated, showcasing the industry’s growth.
More than 7,000 products were displayed, highlighting innovations such as CSSC’s “Aida Modu” cruise ship, Burckhardt’s LNG compressor, and BYD’s marine power systems. These represented the latest global advancements in marine technology.
The expo included over 30 events, encompassing forums, procurement meetings, and science outreach activities, with over 200 industry leaders and officials delivering key speeches.
The 2024 China Shipbuilding Industry Annual Conference, co-organized by the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry and CSSC’s 714th Research Institute, ran concurrently (November 15-18). This featured discussions on sustainable development (ESG), cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. Publications such as the “Blue Book of the Development of the Shipbuilding Industry” were also launched.
CMEE received strong support from the 714th Research Institute, emphasizing international collaboration, promoting advanced technologies, and fostering a thriving marine city.
A unique aspect of CMEE was its 20,000-square-meter outdoor yacht exhibition area, offering immersive experiences and hands-on activities.
