Guohua Energy Investment Corporation recently hosted its “Gen Z Energy Tour,” an International Corporate Open Day, along with the “New Energy, New Hope, New Future” New Energy into Campus Event.

Beijing, China May 23, 2025 – On May 21st, instructors from CHN ENERGY Guohua Energy Investment Co., Ltd. (GHEI), along with 13 young international guests from 10 Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) countries, led a “new energy elective course” at Guohua Hope Central Primary School.

GHEI showcased its achievements in new energy development and corporate social responsibility to students from China and abroad. Young GHEI employees became instructors, guiding students on a “journey across the blue ocean” to understand how GHEI’s 1 GW offshore solar farm in Kenli, Shandong—the world’s first gigawatt-level offshore photovoltaic project—converts sunlight into green electricity. A Greek engineer from GHEI Europe Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. (CEERE) also shared a video about the “magic” of wind energy at China’s first wind farm in Greece.

During the Q&A, students engaged with technical experts about photovoltaic technology, integrating green “new energy” ideals through inquiry.

Students from Guohua Hope Central Primary School performed Beijing Qinshu, showcasing the integration of Beijing’s intangible cultural heritage (ICH) into education. In a collaborative art segment, students created paintings, songs, and ICH paper-cuttings featuring solar panels, wind turbines, and fruit trees, blending green energy concepts with cross-cultural creativity.

This event launched GHEI’s “New Energy, New Hope, New Future” New Energy into Campus Event. Through lectures, ICH experiences, and art, it provided an unforgettable “new energy elective course” to students at Guohua Hope Central Primary School, which the company has supported for 25 years. Simultaneously, 13 young participants from 10 BRI countries gained insights into central state-owned enterprises’ role in industrial upgrading, technological innovation, and social welfare during the “Gen Z Energy Tour.” The event promoted cross-cultural understanding and friendships among youth from China and abroad, while expanding the vision of a green future through a Gen Z perspective.

As a key part of GHEI’s “New Energy into Campus” initiative, this event aimed to instill clean energy awareness in schools both in China and abroad.

Since its founding, GHEI has prioritized contributing to local communities and improving well-being. From funding Guohua Hope Central Primary School in 2001 to ongoing support through regular visits, the company has upheld its commitment. It has also supported the “Egg and Milk Program” in Shangyi County, Hebei, and conducts annual poverty alleviation campaigns, educational support, and “New Energy into Campus” initiatives across China’s 28 provincial-level regions, as well as in Greece and Australia.
