Cristina Iaboni Champions Practical Leadership: “Execution Triumphs Over Theory” “`

Cristina Maria Iaboni

Drawing on decades of experience across various sectors, Iaboni is encouraging business leaders to bridge the gap between strategic planning and their workforce through deliberate decision-making.

Scottsdale, Arizona Jul 4, 2025  – , Cristina Iaboni, a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience spearheading organizational change in healthcare, construction, retail, finance, and manufacturing, is highlighting a growing concern in leadership: the divide between strategic vision and practical implementation.

“I’ve been in companies with fantastic ideas that couldn’t get their people on board,” Iaboni says. “Talking about transformation is easy. Executing it well, with structure and consistent follow-through, is much more challenging.”

Iaboni, who has led HR and operations in Fortune 500 companies and also established her own metal fabrication business, believes that many leaders undervalue the impact of clearly defined goals, consistent communication, and team alignment.

“People don’t resist change itself,” she explains. “They resist being excluded from the process.”

According to McKinsey, 70% of organizational transformations are unsuccessful, primarily due to a lack of employee engagement and unclear execution plans. PwC’s 2023 Global Workforce Survey revealed that only 31% of employees feel their leaders communicate effectively during periods of change.

“Those statistics don’t surprise me,” Iaboni states. “Leadership begins with listening. A strategy that doesn’t extend beyond the boardroom is doomed from the start.”

Having moved from high-level corporate leadership to entrepreneurship by launching and scaling Mavrrik Metals in Arizona, Iaboni brings a practical, hands-on perspective to her message.

“One day I was negotiating steel prices, and the next I was leading a safety meeting on a job site,” she recalls. “You quickly learn the importance of being present, decisive, and clear.”

Lead Where You Are

Iaboni isn’t calling for dramatic actions, but rather for practical and grounded leadership.

“Whether you’re running a company or managing a team, ask yourself: Are we all on the same page? Do people understand what success looks like? Do they trust the system?” she advises.

She encourages managers and business owners to:

  • Start small: Identify a process that’s causing confusion or delays. Improve it with input from those who are affected.
  • Listen better: Replace one meeting this week with a feedback session. Ask, “What’s hindering your progress?”
  • Be visible: Be present where the work is being done. Engage with your team. Understand the actual workflow.

“You don’t need a new framework, you need to act,” Iaboni emphasizes. “That’s where leadership truly exists.”
