China Cycle 2025 Opens with Grandeur

Shanghai, China, May 6, 2025 – The 33rd China Cycle Expo 2025 (referred to as “China Cycle”) began on May 5th at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. This year’s event, themed “New Quality Productivity, for the Shared Future,” has expanded in both scale and content, reflecting the industry’s dynamism. The first day saw a large influx of exhibitors, buyers, and visitors from around the globe, marking the start of this key cycling industry event.

China Cycle: A Global Industry Barometer Upgrades Again

China leads globally in bicycle and electric bicycle manufacturing and sales, accounting for over 60% of global trade. The Chinese bicycle industry continued its growth in 2024. Building on a strong manufacturing base and extensive market, China Cycle has evolved over three decades into a leading international bicycle exhibition.

This year, the exhibition spans 160,000 square meters across 13 halls (W1-W5, E1-E7, N1), with nearly 1,600 participating companies. The new N1 Hall represents a significant expansion of China Cycle within the Shanghai New International Expo Center, offering exhibitors and visitors a more expansive and professional platform.

Key Highlights: Brands Unite, Innovation Drives Future

Leading brands like GIANT, MERIDA, PHOENIX, FOREVER, TRINX, XIDESHENG, BAFANG, SHIMANO, ABUS, BIANCHI, and FOCUS are showcasing their latest products and technologies. The exhibition halls are strategically organized: E1 for complete vehicle brands, E2-E3 for parts, E4 for tires, W1 for international brands, W4 for outdoor cycling gear, and W5 for electric motorcycles and innovative products, comprehensively covering the industry chain.

The “2025 CHINA CYCLE Innovation Demonstration Exhibition” features 70 exhibits of cutting-edge technologies, including carbon fiber e-bikes, electronic gear systems, and polymer fiber spokes, offering visitors a firsthand look at cycling technology’s advancements.

The industry transformation and upgrading demonstration exhibition highlights specialized and innovative firms like JIEKE, MAGENE, GOLDEN WHEEL, PHOENIX, and JAVA, presenting green technology solutions for the future of China’s bicycle industry.

Trade Matchmaking Begins, International Cooperation Intensifies

A two-day trade matchmaking event is taking place concurrently, attracting purchasing teams from Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, focusing on high-end parts and electric bicycles. The first day included numerous negotiations, boosting Chinese brands’ international expansion and trade cooperation.

Events Spark Excitement, Cycling Fever Grips Venue

The exhibition features a lively cycling experience area, outdoor performances, and technology interactive displays. Professional riders’ stunts draw cheers, and the test ride area is busy with people trying out the newest electric-assisted bicycles. The e-sports competition is also underway, blending cycling and e-sports.

The “market area,” popular last year, has been expanded to include fashion shows, cycling + lifestyle experiences, new product launches, and cultural displays, creating a hub for cycling culture and modern living.
