(AsiaGameHub) – The Alcohol and Gaming Commission has implemented updates ahead of the launch of iGaming Ontario’s self-exclusion initiative.
Canada.- The Alcohol and Gaming Commission (AGCO) has adjusted the Registrar’s Standards for Internet Gaming ahead of the launch of iGaming Ontario’s Centralized Self-Exclusion (CSE) programme. The updates will go into effect when the CSE platform launches next year.
Multiple amendments and additions have been rolled out, including new terms and definitions connected to the programme, such as clear definitions for a participating person and the exclusion registry.
The CSE will allow Ontario players to voluntarily exclude themselves from all regulated igaming via a single streamlined process. AGCO notes that the programme will cut down barriers for players by removing the need to complete self-exclusion separately across multiple platforms.
In addition to joining the CSE, operators must continue to uphold all existing self-exclusion agreements created through their own individual systems. Operators are required to run their own independent self-exclusion programmes within 12 months of the CSE’s launch.
