The student demonstrations against the war in Gaza have not been without clashes and multiple arrests.
Students have established protest camps at over 40 colleges across the US since mid-April, calling for both Washington and their universities to cut ties with Israel and put an end to the violence in Gaza.
The demonstrations, which thousands have participated in, began peacefully, but clashes erupted at some colleges as police moved in to disperse the gatherings, deemed illegal. Hundreds have been arrested.
