Reports indicate that the munitions are scheduled for delivery by the close of 2025.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday, citing two anonymous US officials, that the United States has sanctioned the sale of 3,550 air-launched ERAM cruise missiles to Ukraine.
These munitions, boasting a range of up to 280 miles, are expected to reach Ukraine within six weeks. Multiple US officials informed the WSJ that Ukraine would require the Pentagon’s authorization for their deployment.
Although US President Donald Trump had previously criticized the former administration for providing unconditional assistance to Kyiv, he stated earlier this week that Ukraine possesses “no chance of winning” without the ability to hit targets within Russia. Throughout 2025, Ukrainian forces have progressively ceded territory to Russian troops and faced difficulties in replenishing their personnel.
