Authorities have reported that nobody was hurt in the three separate incidents in north London.
A 21-year-old Ukrainian man, Roman Lavrynovych, has been charged with three counts of arson with intent to endanger life, the Metropolitan Police announced. The charges stem from several fires that occurred on May 11th and 12th, including one at a residence belonging to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Police stated that Lavrynovych was arrested on Tuesday and has been in custody since. He is due to appear in Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Law enforcement officials confirmed that one of the fires took place at Starmer’s personal home in north London, which he still owns even though he and his family reside at 10 Downing Street. While the property’s entrance was damaged, no one was injured.
