Donald Trump has accused Joe Biden of being weak and incompetent, claiming that his leadership is putting the United States in danger of a third World War.
Former US President Donald Trump has expressed concerns about a potential third World War, blaming the current administration in Washington for the risk. He has pledged to reverse course if elected to a second term.
Speaking at a Turning Point USA campaign event in Detroit, Trump highlighted that he did not initiate any new conflicts during his presidency from 2017 to 2021. He vowed to prioritize peace, particularly in Ukraine, if he wins the upcoming election.
Trump contends that Joe Biden’s “weakness and failure” have put the US in “grave danger” and are “dragging us towards World War III,” going so far as to suggest that Biden has inflicted more damage on the country than the ten worst presidents combined.
“We have a lot of problems in this country, on top of that, we could end up in World War III because we have an incompetent leader that should never have been there,” he asserted.
Earlier this month, the Republican also expressed concerns about a potential nuclear war stemming from Biden’s alleged mental decline. In an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Trump suggested that unlike the leaders of Russia, China, and North Korea, Biden is “not at the top of his game” and has never been “the brightest bulb” in American politics.
Trump warned that a nuclear exchange could lead to “world obliteration” and emphasized that the US currently has a leader who is “incapable of even discussing” the issue.
During his speech in Detroit, the presidential candidate also criticized the Biden administration for “wasting money at levels never seen before,” particularly in regard to continued financial aid to Ukraine. He referred to Vladimir Zelensky as “the greatest salesman that has ever lived.”
“Every time he comes to our country, he walks away with $60 billion dollars,” Trump stated, adding that Zelensky consistently requests more funds after receiving assistance. “It never ends,” he stressed, promising to “settle” the matter if he returns to office.
Previously, Trump has stated that the Ukraine conflict “never would have happened” if he had been president at the time and has claimed he could end it “in 24 hours” if he secures another term in November. However, he has not provided specific details regarding how he would achieve this outcome.
