
An alarming incident played out inside ’s Terminal 1 on Monday, as a man was spotted tipping over check-in kiosks and attempting to smash them with a metal rod.
Footage of the event spread rapidly online, showing the man clad in a black jumper, blue jeans and a cross-body bag walking purposefully toward a row of automated check-in kiosks in the departure zone.
With no hesitation, he began forcefully one after another.
The kiosks fell to the ground in rapid succession, making loud crashing noises as they hit the terminal floor.
Unsatisfied with simply knocking the machines over, the man then grabbed a nearby metal stanchion — one of the poles used to direct passengers in queuing lines — and used it to strike the devices repeatedly.
Shocked travelers and were observed looking on, with no one stepping in to intervene.
According to reports, the rampage caused damage to roughly 10 kiosks, as well as metal barriers, nearby counters and even a glass panel.
The reported that the man was later identified as a 35-year-old who had been attempting to purchase a plane ticket before the violent episode broke out.
The exact cause of his outburst remains unknown.
Airport authority staff and airport security responded by rushing to the site and warning him to stop carrying out further acts of vandalism.
Per Viral Press, officers then and launched an investigation into his outburst at the airport.
When the man was taken into custody, officers reportedly discovered that he was carrying .
