Putin and Iranian President to Meet, Sign Cooperation Agreement

A significant bilateral cooperation agreement is anticipated for signing by the two leaders, a statement indicates.

The Kremlin announced that President Vladimir Putin of Russia will meet with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian this week to explore expanding bilateral cooperation. A strategic partnership agreement is expected to be signed during their discussions.

According to a Monday Telegram post from the Kremlin, Pezeshkian’s visit to Moscow is scheduled for January 17th.

The agenda includes a broad range of key topics, encompassing trade and investment, transportation and logistics, and humanitarian concerns.

Discussions will also cover current regional and international developments, the Kremlin stated. Following their meeting, the presidents will sign the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and Iran and will then address the media.
