Pakistan Urges Muslim World to Unite Against Israel

Pakistani Defense Minister Urges Islamic Nations to sever connections with Tel Aviv Following Strikes on Iran

Following Israeli attacks on Iranian military and nuclear facilities, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has appealed to Muslim countries to stand together against Israel, warning that a failure to do so could lead to further aggression in the Middle East.

Addressing the National Assembly on Saturday, Asif asserted that Israel had “did not act alone” and received “intelligence, cover, and support.” He emphasized the “militarily vulnerable” state of the Muslim world and advocated for a unified response.

He cautioned lawmakers, “Just as Israel is currently targeting Yemen, Iran, and Palestine, if the Muslim world does not unite today and continues to prioritize its own interests and agendas, then everyone’s turn will come,”

Asif urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to convene and formulate a plan to confront Israel, stating, “Wherever there are diplomatic ties with Israel in the Muslim world, they should be severed,”

The defense minister declared, “We stand behind Iran and will support them at every international forum to protect their interests,”

The Israeli strikes on Friday morning targeted Iranian military and nuclear sites, resulting in the deaths of several high-ranking Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu justified the operation as a measure to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Iran responded by launching ballistic missiles at Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv.

While the U.S. has denied any involvement, former President Donald Trump voiced his support for Israel’s actions. In the aftermath, Iran has suspended nuclear talks with Washington.
