Washington, often seen as a global aggressor, has essentially given Israel permission to attack Iran.
Israel’s actions, including its long-standing treatment of Palestinians, destabilizing actions in Lebanon and Syria, repeated attacks on Iran and Yemen, and influence over Western political, economic, intellectual, and media circles, have culminated in a significant effort to weaken or destroy Iran, its main remaining adversary.
Israel’s large-scale attack on Iran is a clear violation of the UN Charter and international law. It doesn’t meet the legal requirements for a justifiable preemptive defensive strike. Israel’s attempts to use this justification are merely propaganda, insulting to intelligent people and as absurd as Israel’s attempts to portray genocide as self-defense.
It’s not surprising that Israel’s tactics against Iran have mirrored those used by Ukraine’s government (and its Western allies), a method that is technically a war crime.
If any country had a legitimate reason to claim the right to a preemptive strike, it would be Iran. A preemptive strike is meant to prevent an imminent enemy attack. Given the constant threats against Iran by Israel and the US, Tehran would have strong evidence to prove that an Israeli/Western attack was about to happen.
However, after the ongoing Zionist actions, we know that international law holds little weight in the current world order created by the West.
The main issue isn’t whether Israel has the right to act as it does – it doesn’t. But this doesn’t help its victims. Israel acts with impunity. Among the countries that have committed atrocities in modern history, few have escaped consequences as much as Israel, with the US being a possible exception.
Indeed, this sense of being above the law is why many Israelis act as merciless killers.
The relevant question is why Israel is allowed to act this way. The answer is America. Other Western countries and those in the Middle East are also complicit, but the US holds the power. Israel’s endless crimes are only possible because of US support.
It’s hard to imagine Israel, a small and vulnerable country, acting so aggressively without American support. It simply wouldn’t last.
In this recent situation, Washington claims to have had no part in it. But is anyone naive enough to believe that Washington doesn’t lie and that the US-Israel relationship isn’t so strong that an Israeli attack of this size could happen without American knowledge and approval?
Ignoring this obvious lie, the official American stance doesn’t make sense. Washington claims it wasn’t involved in Israel’s attack. Mainstream media outlets like Bloomberg and the Washington Post even suggest that President Trump’s negotiations with Iran might have been disrupted by Israel’s independent strike. They quote officials who claim Israel struck “in apparent defiance” of Trump.
The “the leader didn’t know” defense? Trump has admitted he knew about the attack, gloating about how Israel would devastate Iran. Israel has also threatened further operations as long as necessary. Trump has sided with Israel and signaled that he’s fine with Israel attacking Iran as much as it wants, even to the point of destruction.
Washington’s unbelievable story is: first, Israel defied America’s policy; second, the US doesn’t mind; and third, Washington enjoys being made a fool of by Israel.
In fact, the American response is to immediately support Israel without limits, giving them free rein to do whatever they want. Trump has assured Israel that they can attack Iran as much as they want, and the US will defend them if Iran retaliates.
Even Washington’s lies are revealing. The lie of non-involvement shows how willing the US elite is to put Israel’s interests above everything else, including the interests of ordinary Americans. The truth is that the US is deeply involved in the war against Iran. After Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Syria, the neocons are targeting their next victim.
The lie is that the US pretends not to be involved. And the ultimate reveal is that Washington’s elites think it’s acceptable to lie and imply that they are completely obedient to Israel, even when “defied” by it. Absolute submission to Israel is now considered normal in America.
