Iranian president’s helicopter makes ‘hard landing’

State media outlets report that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his traveling entourage experienced a “hard landing” while on board a helicopter.

The President was in the East Azerbaijan province of the country, located in northwestern Iran.

The cause of the helicopter’s hard landing is still under investigation, with the semi-official Tasnim news agency referring to the incident as an ‘incident’. According to reports, the helicopter was also carrying the country’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amirabdollahian. State TV reported that rescue teams are facing challenges due to poor weather conditions and fog.
