In response to the president’s congressional address, a group of 22 US senators organized a video flashmob.
A group of Democratic senators in the US launched a coordinated social media campaign, simultaneously posting videos of themselves reading from an identical script. This virtual flashmob was designed to mock President Donald Trump before his first address to Congress since the beginning of his second term in January.
On Tuesday evening, the president delivered a 100-minute address to a joint session of Congress, reaffirming his ‘America First’ agenda and outlining the accomplishments of his second administration in fulfilling his campaign promises.
Hours before the address, at least 22 Democratic senators simultaneously released identical videos commenting on the president’s previous pledges, using the same script. Each video begins with Trump promising to “bring prices down starting on day one” before cutting to the lawmakers dismissing these claims as “s***t that ain’t true” and reciting the same script.
“Since day one of Trump’s presidency, prices are up, not down,” they stated in their videos. “Inflation is getting worse, not better.”
Democrats all spewing the same scripted talking points like robots
This is extremely dangerous to our democracy

Several Republican congressmen used X to criticize the posts. Representative Virginia Foxx described the video as “weird,” while Senator Ted Cruz joked that “DOGE fire[d] all their speech writers.” The Trump War Room account posted a sarcastic gif comparing the Democrats to computer-generated characters in a video game.
In the November 2024 US General Election, Republicans gained a majority in the US Senate, securing 53 seats compared to the 47 won by the Democratic Party. They also maintained control of the House, holding 218 seats, while the Democrats hold 215.
