Reports have confirmed that the longest-running action-drama TV series in the Philippines is set to end this July 2022. This move was allegedly made to give way to Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series starring Jane De Leon. Before they finally bid goodbye, ‘Ang Probinsyano’ will give a “fitting tribute” to the late actress Susan Rocess.

June 28 will mark the 40 days since the death of Susan and July 28 is her birthday. To commemorate the veteran actress, the production staff decided to include her in the scenes and give closure to her character Nanay Flora. There will also be a mass via Zoom for the late actress.

Recently, fans are abuzz over Charo Santos-Concio joining ‘Ang Probinsyano’. She plays the role of Ramona, Ricardo Dalisay’s long-lost “mother figure” who trained him to fight when he was still young.

On Instagram, Charo shared a snippet of their behind-the-scenes moments where she works with lead actor Coco Martin. According to her, she didn’t expect to work in an action series but she’s grateful for the opportunity.

“Sino ang magaakalang after 45 years sa industriya ay mabibigyan pa ako ng pagkakataong makagawa ng action scenes. Maraming salamat for this opportunity,” she wrote.

With the ABS-CBN executive onboard the show, many netizens are speculating that this truly marks the finale of the show. Rumors of ‘Ang Probinsyano’ ending have long been rumored.
