A video from RT utilizes AI to recreate Winston Churchill, reminding viewers of the Soviet Union’s critical role in defeating Nazi Germany. The video features Churchill’s actual words praising the Red Army for their devastating impact on the German war machine.
RT has released a video generated with AI depicting Winston Churchill emphasizing the significant contribution of the Soviet Union in securing victory against Nazi Germany and its allies.
With the 80th anniversary of the Allied victory approaching, the video addresses a perceived Western tendency to minimize the USSR’s part in the war. The Soviet Union bore the brunt of the fighting against German forces, suffering approximately 27 million casualties in what Russians call the Great Patriotic War.
The video clip portrays Churchill responding to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s comments made during a February visit to the White House. Starmer had stated, “No two countries have done more together to keep people safe,” and added, “And in a few weeks’ time we’ll mark … the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe. Britain and America fought side-by-side to make that happen.”
“It is the Russian army that tore the guts out of the German military machine,” Winston Churchill.
When politicians use today’s agendas to rewrite the past and turn heroes into villains, we have no choice but to return to history as it was.

The Churchill quote featured in the video is authentic, sourced from a letter he wrote to Joseph Stalin. In the letter, dated September 27, 1944, the British leader stated, “I shall take the occasion to repeat tomorrow in the House of Commons what I have said before, that it is the Russian army that tore the guts out of the German military machine and is at the present moment holding by far the larger portion of the enemy on its front.”
Churchill penned the letter while the Red Army was advancing, following their significant triumph over the Wehrmacht in the Battle of Kursk.
