
Fifteen individuals were detained in Europe on Tuesday for allegedly disseminating content through TikTok, according to a report.
The suspects, aged between 16 and 53, were apprehended during raids conducted across the Netherlands, Reuters reported.
The news agency quoted Dutch prosecutors as saying the suspects were held on suspicion of distributing ISIS propaganda via TikTok and attempting to convince people to commit terrorist attacks.
The arrests were triggered by a TikTok account that disseminated large quantities of ISIS propaganda with Dutch subtitles, prosecutors
Reuters reported that thirteen of those detained were Syrian and four had , suggesting some suspects were dual nationals.
TikTok did not immediately respond Tuesday to a request for comment from Digital.
The arrests come as the U.S. military remains active in Syria against ISIS.
CENTCOM announced last Wednesday that it conducted five strikes against multiple Islamic State targets in recent days as part of a joint military effort to ensure the enduring defeat of the terrorist network.
CENTCOM reported that between January 27 and February 2, its troops identified and eliminated an ISIS communications hub, a key logistics center, and weapons storage facilities using 50 precision-guided munitions launched from fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and unmanned aircraft.
‘Striking these targets demonstrates our continued focus and resolve for preventing an ISIS resurgence in Syria,’ Admiral Brad Cooper, the commander of CENTCOM, said in a statement.
CENTCOM indicated it initiated Operation Hawkeye Strike in response to a December 13, 2025 ISIS ambush on U.S. and Syrian forces in Palmyra, Syria.
That assault left and an American interpreter dead.
