The Bougie Brat and Amiere Records Open “The Complex,” a Jamaican Creative Hub

Kimberly Amiere Rhoden

New York City, New York Jun 25, 2025  – Amiere Records, an innovative independent music label owned by a Black woman and spearheaded by dancehall producer and creative director Kimberly Rhoden, also known as “The Bougie Brat,” has begun fundraising for “The Complex.” This new multi-purpose hub is designed to empower Caribbean creatives in music, film, wellness, and media.

The Complex will be a unique space in Jamaica, featuring recording studios, film soundstages, co-working and event spaces, a future wellness center, and two on-site restaurants. With its foundation in dancehall and a forward-looking approach to content creation, The Complex aims to support a new generation of culture-makers across the diaspora.

Amiere Records is currently in the seed fundraising stage for The Complex and is actively seeking strategic partners, impact investors, and brand collaborators who share its vision of building sustainable creative spaces in the Caribbean.

The project is currently raising funds through Artizen Fund Season 5, a Web3 platform for creative innovation. Over a dozen unique digital artifacts and rewards are available, ranging from shoutouts and exclusive video cameos to behind-the-scenes collectibles and creative collaboration opportunities.

Support tiers include:

  • “Pin It On the Map” – Become part of the global supporter map (eventually in real life)
  • “Mi Deh Ya” Shoutout – Receive a digital thank-you from the team
  • “Manifest the Mission” Polaroid Pack – Receive a themed digital photo drop
  • “Legacy Wall” Tier – Have your name etched on our physical build wall

  • “Executive Producer + Cameo” Tier – Get EP credit and an on-screen appearance
  • “VIP Legacy Sponsor” – Brand integration, legacy plaque, access, and more
  • “Co-Founder Tier” – Reserved for serious backers shaping the future

“The Complex is like a fusion of Tyler Perry Studios with music, recreation, co-working, and entertainment, all situated on over 20 acres of land,” says Kimberly Rhoden. “It’s more than just a creative space; it’s an oasis where Caribbean artists and visionaries can create freely, establish a lasting legacy, and thrive globally. We shouldn’t have to leave the islands or the diaspora to access world-class creative resources. We deserve the opportunity to build them at home.”

Momentum around Amieré Records continues to build. Recently, The Bougie Brat co-produced “Future Life,” a Topalone Records release by Geo Lyrical & Jevii, led by renowned dancehall producer Topalone. The track celebrates the power of young people to succeed in any field, offering a much-needed reminder of possibility and ambition in today’s Dancehall scene.

The Bougie Brat is also in contention at the 2025 Caribbean Music Awards , with a chance to win a $5,000 prize and walk the CMA red carpet at Kings Theatre, NYC, this summer.

In addition, she recently made an on-screen appearance in JPEGMAFIA’s On the Radar freestyle performance, visible to the artist’s right throughout the viral session.

Amieré Records has also been selected for Artizen Season 6, making The Complex one of the few Jamaica-based projects to receive ongoing platform support.
