Tech Titans, Including Musk and Bezos, Attend Trump’s Inauguration

President Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony featured a notable guest list, highlighting the prominent presence of several tech CEOs.

Washington, D.C., January 21, 2025 – President Trump’s inauguration showcased the influence of leading tech billionaires. These powerful and wealthy CEOs, wielding significant global influence, occupied seats typically reserved for family, former presidents, and other distinguished guests. Attendees included Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and his fiancée Lauren Sánchez, and Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, X, and Tesla. Musk, the world’s wealthiest individual, is also a close advisor to Trump.

The presence of Apple CEO Tim Cook and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew further emphasized the considerable influence of mega-wealth on national politics. These billionaires’ endorsements and campaign contributions significantly impact election outcomes, as seen in their support for Trump’s campaign against Vice President Kamala Harris. This contrasts with the Presidential Medal of Freedom awarded to George Soros by President Biden, recognizing Soros’s substantial philanthropy for liberal causes. The participation of the world’s wealthiest individuals suggests a potential direct role in national administration and policy.

Trump commented, stating that these individuals previously supported his opponent but now align with him, adding that he doesn’t require their financial support. He emphasized his desire for national prosperity and acknowledged their contributions to job creation and economic growth.
