Seongnam City to Showcase Startups at CES 2025, Strengthening Global Innovation Hub Status “`

Seongnam City, Gyeonggi-do, will return to CES 2025, the leading global tech exhibition, held in Las Vegas from January 7-10. The city will host a “Seongnam Pavilion,” showcasing 25 local startups and their innovative technologies to an expected audience of over 130,000 and 4,400 exhibiting companies.

Building on the success of CES 2024, where Seongnam startups secured KRW 145.5 billion in contracts, the city aims to again facilitate international partnerships and market expansion for its companies. The strong results from 2024 demonstrated high participant satisfaction.

Seongnam City’s participation in CES 2025 underscores its commitment to fostering a global innovation ecosystem. The Seongnam Pavilion will feature cutting-edge technologies in AI, healthcare, smart cities, and mobility. This reinforces Seongnam’s status as a leading global innovation hub.

Three Seongnam-based companies received CES Innovation Awards, highlighting their global competitiveness:

• Sky Labs Inc.: Awarded for its non-invasive HbA1c measurement technology, QuickGly.
• BrainU Co., Ltd.: Recognized for VET CAI, an EEG-based animal anesthesia monitoring device.
• ANDOPEN Co., Ltd.: Honored for SNAPPASS, an advanced facial recognition-based two-factor authentication system.

Seongnam City stated their goal is to leverage CES 2025 to showcase local innovation and provide a platform for international market entry for its startups.
