Motivational speaker Deonta Barnes has overcome significant life challenges since birth. He’s the longest-living survivor of an HIV diagnosis and embodies unwavering resilience. This Black entrepreneur exemplifies perseverance and inspiration. Diagnosed with HIV early in life, he’s successfully navigated numerous personal and professional obstacles.
Despite the hardships of living with HIV and a difficult divorce, Barnes remains a role model. He recognizes the value of life and encourages others to overcome adversity. He serves as a testament to the potential within even the most challenging circumstances.
Barnes is a successful entrepreneur, founder of Talent of All Trades LLC, a foundation dedicated to purposeful living. His focus on empowerment is central to the foundation’s mission. He demonstrates that achievement is possible despite overwhelming adversity. Barnes attributes his resilience to his faith, believing God has guided him. In July 2021, he was diagnosed with a minor brain tumor which went untreated. Three years later, in November 2024, he suffered a stroke. Despite these setbacks, Barnes views his continued survival as a testament to God’s plan for his life.
His health journey is considered miraculous, a reflection of his tenacious spirit. At 32, he remains optimistic about the future.
With fifteen years of experience, 18 employees, 7 offices, and expertise in over 26 trades, Barnes has built a successful business. He reflects on his life’s purpose, stating, “Statistically, I am not supposed to be here. I have a testimony, a gift, and a purpose, and God has shaped me to be the person I’ve always wanted to be.” Regarding his plans for 2025, he aims to share his story and inspire others.
