Journal Junk Box, a Maryland-based company, is fostering global creativity and self-care through its monthly subscription boxes.
Launched during the pandemic, the award-winning Journal Junk Box has cultivated a worldwide community of journaling enthusiasts spanning the US, UK, Chile, Australia, and beyond. Inspired by her own experience using journaling to manage anxiety, founder Dallas Gordon created the service to share the benefits of self-expression and mindfulness.
Gordon explains, “Journaling brought me peace when I needed it most, and I wanted to create something that empowers others to discover their creativity and well-being.”
Each monthly box contains unique journals, stickers, pens, embellishments, and lifestyle products, along with journaling prompts and mindfulness exercises designed to promote mental wellness.
As a minority- and woman-owned business, Journal Junk Box demonstrates the global impact achievable by small, family-run enterprises. Gordon notes, “It’s amazing to see how our vision has positively affected diverse communities worldwide.”
Beyond the subscription boxes, Journal Junk Box provides a Digital Journaling Club featuring daily prompts, mindfulness exercises, and printable resources to further connect its community.
