Candie L. Simmons of CLSimmons Consulting Joins Goldman Sachs’ One Million Black Women Cohort

Candie L. Simmons, a Mississippi native, has been selected to participate in the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women cohort program. This program, a significant initiative aimed at driving economic opportunity for Black women, is part of Goldman Sachs’s $10 billion investment commitment. This commitment includes $100 million in philanthropic capital, with the goal of creating economic opportunity for one million Black women by 2030. The One Million Black Women initiative is a comprehensive investment focused on key stages in Black women’s lives, from early childhood to retirement, aiming to increase opportunities where investment can make a significant difference. To date, the initiative has deployed nearly $3 billion in investment capital and $39.4 million in philanthropic capital, impacting the lives of over 300,000 Black women.

Simmons was chosen by a review committee based on her extensive and diverse experience. Acceptance criteria included a successful track record of personal and professional achievements.
