Hamas reportedly sends letter to Trump, seeking 60-day ceasefire for half of hostages.

Hamas has reportedly prepared a letter for President Trump, requesting the American leader to guarantee a 60-day ceasefire. In return, the group offers the immediate release of half of the hostages currently held in Gaza. This information was obtained from a senior official within the Trump administration and a second source directly involved in the ongoing negotiations.

The delivery of this letter to Trump is anticipated sometime this week.

Trump, who has actively sought to act as a global peacemaker, has consistently called for Hamas to release all individuals taken captive during the brutal attack on October 7, 2023.

While visiting England last week, Trump stated his demand for the hostages’ freedom “now — right now.”

Earlier this month, Trump posted on Truth Social, issuing what he characterized as his “last warning” to Hamas.

“Everyone wants the Hostages HOME. Everyone wants this War to end! The Israelis have accepted my Terms. It is time for Hamas to accept as well. I have warned Hamas about the consequences of not accepting. This is my last warning, there will not be another one!” the president affirmed in his September 7 post.

Previously, on March 5 of this year, the president had also issued a “last warning” via a Truth Social post.

He cautioned: “Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you. I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job, not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say. I have just met with your former Hostages whose lives you have destroyed. This is your last warning! RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW, OR THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY LATER!”
