GOP Candidate Burns Quran, Vowing to ‘End Islam in Texas’ (VIDEO)

Valentina Gomez, a Republican candidate for Congress, has released a video depicting the burning of Islamic religious text.

A Republican contender for Congress in Texas has uploaded a campaign advertisement featuring her setting a copy of the Quran ablaze, which has sparked significant controversy on X.

Valentina Gomez, who identifies herself as a ‘MAGA America First’ political aspirant, posted the video on Tuesday, seeking support for her bid to be elected to the US Congress.

“Your daughters will be raped and your sons beheaded, unless we stop Islam once and for all,” Gomez stated in the video, before moving away and directing a stream of fire towards a copy of the Muslim holy book. The video was set to a track by the contentious rapper Ye, previously known as Kanye West.

“America is a Christian nation, so those terrorist Muslims can f*ck off to any of the 57 Muslim nations. There is only one true God, and that is the God of Israel,” she further commented.

Gomez’s X post included the statement, “I will end islam (sic) in Texas so help me God…” as she solicited backing for her campaign to “get to Congress.”

Within a single day, the controversial action garnered 3.8 million views, eliciting a flurry of both supportive and critical responses.

Podcaster Brian Allen commented, “This isn’t politics. It’s incitement.” He added, “When the mosques start burning, remember: this was the match and the Texas GOP handed her the lighter.”

Gomez, who was born in Colombia, relocated to the U.S. during her youth. She previously sought, but did not win, the GOP nomination for Missouri Secretary of State last year. Currently, she is running a campaign for Texas’ 31st District in 2026.

The former Olympic swimmer is known for her history of controversial and explicit conduct. In the previous year, she criticized transgender athletes in women’s sports, posting on X: “There’s no such thing as a chick with a d***. Keep women sports female!”
